The ATZB-212B-XPRO is an extension board providing a development/prototyping platform for the ZigBits. It is targeted for evaluating the features of the ZigBit, currently supporting AT86RF212B radio transceiver. The AT86RF212B is a low power, low voltage 700/800/900MHz transceiver specially designed for the ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4, 6LoWPAN and high data rate for sub 1GHz ISM applications. It is a true SPI to antenna solution. All RF critical components except the antenna, crystal and decoupling capacitors are integrated onchip. MAC and AES hardware accelerators improve overall system power efficiency and timing. It comprises the analogue radio transceiver and the digital demodulation including time and frequency synchronization and data buffering. The bidirectional differential antenna pins, used for transmission and reception eliminate the need for an external antenna switch.
