Do you need a module as similar as a joystick? So, we are presenting the Grove – Thumb Joystick v1.1, a Grove compatible module similar to the ‘analog’ joysticks in PlayStation 2 (PS2) controllers. The joystick also has a push-button for special applications. You can configure the button as per your requirements.
The joystick has a specialty of two direction movements. The two direction movements will output different analog signals as they are actually two potentiometers. The X and Y axes are two ~10k potentiometers which control 2D movement by generating analog signals. When the module is in working mode, it will output two analog values, representing two directions. its output values are restricted to a smaller range (i.e. 200~800), only when being pressed that the X value will be set to 1023 and the MCU can detect the action of pressing.
